Primitive Blessings is a 14 inch shelf sitter and her given name is Essie Mae. I used a pattern by You Are Special to make her. Her head is made of muslin which has been painted black then sanded. Her eyes are buttons, lips and nose are muslin stuffed then stitched in place. Her body is flannel.  Hand stitching on the front is done using a heavy cotton thread. Hair is wool stitched in place. Trimmed with pieces of black homespun tied in their place. Cheeks are blushed. Coffee dyed.
