I just love working with vintage quilt. Its a nice way to repurpose. I never ever ever cut a good quilt. For this bear I used the back of the quilt. I just loved the homespun fabric and the quilting. He's a darling and measures more or less 18 inches. He's stuffed with poly fil and weighted with plastic pellets so he sits nicely. He's fully jointed. Plastic buttons for eyes. Nose is a piece of felt which I handstitched over with black crochet cotton. Mouth is from the same thread. Coffee dyed and sanded. Muslin bow around his neck. Signed with thread on his bottom. Truely a one of a kind. Handmade using a Gooseberry Hill design. Handsewn No machine was used.
