Primitive Handmade Pumpkin Head Doll

This has to be one of my all time favorites. I made her using a design by Ragged Edge. She's a big girl measuring 38 inches tall. Made from old quilt her head is four pieces stitched together and stuffed firmly with poly fil. Eyes are old quilt and pupils are of black sweatshirt. Her nose is also black sweatshirt material and her mouth is french knots. Stem is old quilt which I painted brown and sanded. Her arms are also from the same old quilt as her face they have a wire in them so they are easy to pose. Body is from a different piece of old quilt and stuffed nicely with poly fil. Her dress is from a old army blanket. Feet are of the same black sweatshirt material. With a twine wrap trimmed with old sewing thread spools on the ends. Coffee dyed. Everything is handstitched in its place. No glue was used. I made several and each is truely one of a kind. She's a keeper.
